Annual Dues: Upon Inquiry
Instituted March 20, 1971
Fairfield (Solano County)
The name Suisun in the Indian language means “west wind”; thus the name of the Parlor. Solano County has a prevailing west wind, and it is generally agreed that the local Indians took their name from this phenomenon.
The seal shows a depiction of Chief Solano of the Suisun Tribe of California Indians. Chief Solano was an intelligent leader of the local Indians of the present count of Solano. He was a great friend of General Vallejo and is buried near Solano Community College.
