Native Daughters help restore and preserve the twenty-one missions. The Children’s Foundation assists those with special medical needs that are beyond family means. We are dedicated to supporting our Veterans in various ways.
We sponsor a yearly scholarship to a worthy California born woman student at Shasta College. Our Landmarks Committee recently designed and donated historical plaques to Cascade Theater and Veterans Memorial Building in downtown, also maintaining Major Pierson B. Reading, Shasta County Pioneer, burial site.
Hiawatha Parlor meets in its owned building. Currently there are 60 paying members.
We have “roundtable”, “open “and “formal ritual” meetings, depending on activities planned. We try to keep to Native Daughter traditions while incorporating current activities and ideas. We invite speakers on current and critical subjects to some of our meetings and other special events, such as Admission Day.
We proudly wear our Royal Blue vests with California poppy design on back to outside events.
We would love you to join with us in this great century-old organization!
