Petaluma (Sonoma County)

the Parlor was named for the city of its origin. Petaluma is the Indian name for “City of Little Hills” or “Duck Hills.”

The Parlor seal bears the likeness shell, with the rising sun in the background. Petaluma was considered the “egg basket” of the world; therefore the chick coming out of the shell designated a newborn Parlor.
