Ruby Parlor was instituted by District Deputy Grand President Nellie Blossom.
A committee of three members was appointed on January 17, 1890 to prepare a seal for the Parlor. At the following meeting the committee members reported that they had selected a design consisting of the figure of the goddess Ceres, encircled by the name, location and date of the institution of the Parlor.
